This is a new and unique event aimed at senior operational and strategic decision makers within law firms. A one day conference was followed by an awards evening, which recognises and celebrates the vital contribution operational departments make to the modern law firm.
The event focused on a number of core support disciplines including:
- HR & Talent Management
- Research & Knowledge Management
- Risk & Compliance
- Facilities & Operations
- Business Development & Communications
This is the only awards initiative which rewards those responsible for
ensuring the smooth delivery of operational and strategic management
functions within law firms.
The award categories are designed to
reflect excellence in the full range of services which take place
behind-the-scenes, from financial management, to technology, through to
business development. The awards also of course incorporate the HR
function, covering activity in recruitment and retention through to
diversity in the workplace.
The recognise both the individual and the team who have truly enhanced the
overall performance of their firm through effecting change at an
organisational, strategic or cultural level.
We are delighted to announce that we have raised nearly £16,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support from both donations made with your entries and donations made at the Awards.
The money raised is enough to pay for a Macmillan nurse for more
than 15 weeks. These donations are helping Macmillan to ensure that no
one has to face cancer alone, thank you for your generosity.
The editorially-led programme covered the key business issues facing the modern law firm. In an increasingly competitive market place, firms are under pressure to reduce costs, improve efficiencies and deliver an improved client service. We asked whether this is possible, and if so, how it can be achieved, as well as looking to the future of legal service delivery and the evolution of the current model.
The content was delivered over six streams throughout the day, with an opening and closing keynote plenary. There were also exclusive roundtable sessions, which each focused on a particular department’s role in the business of running a law firm.
Delegates were drawn from the UK 200 law firms, leading boutique practices and large international players with significant operations in the UK.
